Sunday. Sorted.

I went with Pepper's suggestion: stick, cut, varnish.
SIx modern dolls' house miniature placemats with typography prints, plus six matching coasters.
Just waiting for the first coat to dry so I can do a second coat, and then we're done.

If a person (unnamed) had some quilting weight cotton fabric to make placemats out of, what would you suggest they put on the back to give the mats substance? But not too much bulk. Is iron-on fusible interfacing sufficient do you think?

from jen on behalf of her anonymous friend, obviously.

Miniature ones, I assume?

Heavy-weight iron-on interfacing would be the easiest approach.

...or you could use two different fabric with fusible webbing between and make reversible placemats?

Now that is a cunning plan! I like it.
